I have a 86 fish/ski ProCraft, with a 150hp outboard motor. I live in Houston, TX and am just wondering what a tune up will cost. Doesn't matter where you live, you're experience will give me a rough idea. Thanks.

If you're not doing the water pump (do every 2 years), you can tune it up yourself, hey, I'm no mechanic but, I can change out spark plugs, they're pre-gapped for cryin out loud, my sister can do it ! Don't give them $150 an hour to change plugs, and spray down the motor with WD-40, in the Fall, stabilize the fuel (I just empty the gas tank, and use it in the lawn mower), rinse out the motor (Flush with Rabbit ears), and shoot fogging fluid into the motor, (oils the cylinder for storage) directions are on the can, you can't make a mistake, done !

My husband has boat shop in GA and he says 500.00 that includes full tune up including water pump impeller. Thats parts and labor.
