Question:
i am looking at a 94 integra ls. Its a 5-speed with 235000 miles on it. The guy wants 2,000 for it but i dunno if its worth it even though kelley blue book says it is. The car is in great shape and runs good besides one rust spot. How much should i offer him?
Answers:
we bought a 91 integra ls 5 years ago with pretty low miles for the year<93,0000), at about 110,000 ,the timing belt went out ,then again at about 145,000,front axles needed replaced around 150,000 ,but besides those minor things ,we still have and drive the car ,it has over 190,000 on it now ,and pretty much runs the same as when we got it. original engine and tranny. only thing i would say is ,look at the oil and tranny fluid ,if it "pops" really loud when you turn it ,or when you let off the gas ,the cv's are proboablly going out,but other than that..they seem to be solid vehicles. if it runs good ,sounds good ,has a clear title ,and everything checks out ,id offer 1750 for it ,wouldn tgo over 1850.thats just my 2 cents :)
Other Answers:
That is A LOT of milage for any car. Save your cash and buy something better, especially if the current option has rust. Good luck!
1500 or lower, that is a lot of miles!
I would have the car checked out by my mechanic to be sure that it is in good shape. If it is, the price ($2000) does not seem to be out of line for a retail price. Acura is a Honda product, and Honda's do last a long time if properly maintained.
