Any suggestions for a luxury SUV within a reasonable price limit?

Question:

Answers:
"Luxury" meaning creature comforts, or prestigious badge on the hood?

If its creature comforts, I would wait for the 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe, which looked pretty good at NAIAS. I would also consider the Toyota Highlander Limited, which is the downmarket version of the Lexus RX330 (for 2007 the RX350)The Nissan Murano is another stylish choice, as is the forthcoming Ford Edge.

If you are looking for a prestigious badge on the hood, the Lexus RX330 and RX350 (coming this fall) are excellent choices. They are far cheaper than the BMW X5 and Mercedes Benz ML350 yet they offer a similar level of luxury, dealer service, and prestige. (at least in my area; prestige is a very fickle thing in certain areas)

The Infiniti FX35, a tarted up version of the Nissan Murano, could also be worth a look if you need an upmarket brand badge on the hood.

And with the Acura MDX sliding into its final days, deals can be found on them.

Other Answers:
we are in the same boat right now, we want an SUV but not the humungous price tag attached, have you driven the Kia Sportage or the Hyundai Santa Fe, they are both highly rated and have all the conveniences of the more pricey ones.
