1948 Ford coupe radio comes on but no reception any suggestions?

Question:

Answers:
See if the antenna cable is connected to the radio. Also, there is a screw or bolt that protrudes out a little ways in the area of the antenna connection. It is called an "antenna trimmer." Turn this slightly one way or the other until you get an AM station, then play around with it until you get a more distant station to come in clearly.
There is a strong possibility that one of the vacuum tubes is blown. God only knows where you could get one or more.

Other Answers:
being that old im almost certian that it is an old tube transistor radio, good luck on finding new tubes though.
Mabey its too old to work, or its toreup.
