Question:
A friend of mine had their aftermarket radio stolen from her 2001 Dodge Neon. She put the factory radio back in and none of the harnesses have been cut just stock harness to stock radio harness, and now the factory radio just has three lights on the three audio controls (treble, bass, and mid I think) that flash in three different brightnesses. Does anyone know why it does this, and how I can fix it?
Answers:
This is the color code for the back of the radio just in case.
first check your fuses
then check the ground
If i remember correctly on a dodge the ground cable is seperate from the harness and probably not plugged in
usually it might draw negative current to turn on the radio but not enough to make it function completly.
If everything seems cool but still not working check the pins in the wiring harness sometimes when they steal the radio they pull the harness where some of the pins might be bent or pulled out a little.
if still need more help drop me a line
