Question:
none of the gages work. The break light flashes on and off,and the odometer is blank. The warnings on the information part of the cluster where it shows the milage on the car is blank. Can it be fixed or does it have to be replaced
Answers:
Sounds like either an electrical / wiring issue or possible something wrong with the vehicles on board computer. Take it to a place that can run a check on the vehicle's diagnostic center and see if there are any error codes popping up or not. If you have recently replaced the cluster, and that's when and where the problems began, chances are you did not install it correctly so double check all the wiring and insure it is connected correctly. Last thing to check is your fuse panel. There should be a separate fuse in this vehicle for the instrument cluster (which operates everything on the cluster).
Other Answers:
Sounds like you have an electrical issue. Have you consulted your owner's manual yet? Additionally, you might want to take it to Advance Auto Parts and have them hook it up to a computer to see if the computer in the car is throwing any codes. (not sure if Advance will look at a car that old though, I had them look at my 98 bmw).
