Question:
I purchased car used. I have put 3 aftermarket cd player/radios in vehicle and it keeps burning them up. The radios play excellent for a few days and then quits working. All the functions on the radio/cd player work but there is no sound. Clock, on/off, cd functions, radio channels all fine - no sound. Radios are hot to the touch after they quit working. HELP.

Sounds to me like you might have a short. Check to make sure that none of your speaker wires are fraye and touching metal, that your harness is clean (assuming you have one), and you might want to follow any lines coming from the harness that look discolored, that's a sure sign that somethigs wrong. Sometimes they'll turn yellow if they're being shorted. That's my best guess though.
If it's not that, then maybe your car naturally runs on 2 ohms or something funky like that, lol
