1995 Pontiac Grand AM stereo wiring installation?

Question:
I cannot figure out which wires go with eachother for a 1995 Pontiac Grand AM cd player. I have got the old stereo out and tried to hook the new one up but by following the installation book that came with the Durabrand CD player, I ended up getting power but no sound. Does anyone have a diagram or some advice on what I should do with the wires? Because the wires in the car are not the same as the new stereos wires.

Answers:

Other Answers:
The easiest way is to get a vehicle specific wiring harness for it. You can get them from crutchfield or best buy for like $10 - $15. Then you just hook the wiring harness that came with your stereo to the adapter harness, all which can be done in front of the tv in your spare time. Then when you go to install the radio, you just hook one end to the car harness, and the other to the radio, and you are good to go.
u should buy a wire harness that is for ur 95 grand am, so it will be much easier to hook up!
the best way to get rid of that headache is to buy a wire harness for the car i know they make them cuz i've had the same car. anywhere from 5 to 12 bucks at wal-mart or something will do.
