amp blown?

Question:
ok i hooked up my power amp in my car and had turned it on for the first time it played for appox 30 sec and i was playing with the levels to see how loud it was i had put the main volume up 80% of the way and started to put up the bass boost then it just stopped playing there might have been a pop but its a 2400 watt amp so i couldnt have heard it.
the power led on it is off but the big PYLE symble is still light up so its getting power i cheaked all the fuses on the outside and the conections and even hooked up a diff speaker
none of this worked i also shut off the power to it for 10 sec and turned it back on in hopes of reseting it but that didnt do anything.
so help me out here

Answers:
Sounds like you did blow a fuse. There is a fuse that goes form your stereo to your amp, it's a blue wire, check that one. It should be behind your car stereo you need to pull out the whole system out of your dash. I hope this helps, good luck.

Amps are usually conected directly to the car battery. Check and if this is the case, there should be another fuse there.

Other Answers:
IT'S FUSE IS BLOWN, REPLACE IT WITH A NEW ONE!
i have done that myself but it's not a fuae it got fried because the speakers can only take so much then it gose back to the amp and fries the mother broad and yes the power lite will still turn on but ther won't be any sound.
bad news is you need a new amp because no one can fix it I tryed to find out myself.
fuse
fuse
I you really heard a pop chances are it was a fuse. You half to have a main fuse as close to the battery as possible on the amps power wire. I f that fuse is to small it will blow from just normal power draw from the amp. Make sure the main fuse by the battery is as big or bigger then all the fuses on the amp added together. A 2400 Watt amp should have at least a 80amp fuse. You can usually find fuses this big at your local stereo shop.

another problem might be that you have your subs wired up wrong and the ohms are to low this would cause your amp to go into protection mode. For a good source to wire up subs correctly go to the12volt.com.

I own a stereo shop.
Make sure you have a heavy enough ground, and the system is grounded together.
Some amps do have fuses inside pop a top and take a look woah . whats all that amps cam be fixed but are somtimes just as well to get new sell it on e bay lol/.
Its a fuse clearly. Looks like there wasnt proper earthing or enough cooling in there. Try fixing it or go in for professional amps like Sony
you def. have a blown amp
just as the other person said the motherboard has a blown circut it will still light up but it sends no signal out
