Carb probably has bad gas. Change/clean the spark plug, drain the gas out of the tank and carb, and put fresh gas in the tank.

Along with cleaning the carb and checking the gas tank there may be a fuel filter on it. Check that and replace also your fuel line may be dry rotted if that is the case it is sucking air so check that also.
If the bike starts but doesn't run long or dies as soon as you twist the throttle, you have a fuel delivery issue. Your carburetors are supplied with gas from two different stages. The first is the idle stage (usually adjusted with a screw) This stage doesn't take much gas and it draws its gas from a small reservoir inside the carbs. Without being supplied by the second, or throttle, stage your idle stage will starve out in just a few minutes and your bike will die.
the most common cause of this is, beleive it or not, the fuel switch (also sometimes called a petcock). The easy way to isolate the fuel switch as the problem is to change its position to PRI or PRIME if it has a setting like that. that setting bypasses the electric cutoff for the fuel switch and allows fuel to flow. If this solves the problem then you just need a new petcock. If your problem persists then you may need to check your fuel filter for partial blockage. Most bikes are gravity fed fuel systems so there's no pump to go bad. If you can't find it through these simple steps then try a motorcycle repair shop.
