ok, i know the coil is bad. hondoo wants 110.00 dolars for the thing. where can i get 1 for cheap w/o geting scamed? i aint payn 110 bucks for something that small!!

Do an Internet search or pick up your local phone book and look for "motorcycle salvage" You should be able to find the parts you need at a much more reasonable price.

You say, "I know the coil is bad." Are you sure it's not the pulse generator? Just because you don't have spark, don't automatically assume that the coil is bad.
Free manuals on the web are almost impossible to find. I've found wiring diagrams, but they're few and far between.
Anything mechanical - just ask here.
One word of advice - don't ever buy electrical parts from a salvage yard. You have no guarantees that they'll work. Also, know what parts you need before ordering electrical parts at a dealer. No returns on electrical parts.
Just thought I`d let you know ignition coils very rarely go bad.I would try a good coil on it off something else and make sure it`s a bad coil.THere`s only 2 wires, a positive and negative and the high tension lead that goes to spark plug.If you hook up the + and - and run a jumper wire to ground the coil at the metal surface where the mounting bolt goes and to a good ground like the engine or frame where there`s no paint it should have spark. If not it`s a pick up coil or stator.Don`t want to see you spend money for the wrong part like I`ve seen so many people do thinking they have a bad coil.
