Yep, everytime you take it you have to pay the $60 again.

The amount of money differs depending on the state, I see. Because I failed my CDL permit comprehensive test the first time, and I did NOT have to pay that much to re-take it!

Since the fee is so HIGH, I'd suggest you get that CDL permit manual from the DMV and study it! Also take the free sample quiz on your local DMV website and you will get a feel for the way the questions are asked.
