Anyone ever use Driveaway? They're the folks who drive your car somewhere for you?

Question:
I'm thinking of becoming a driver with them. How much does it cost to get them to move your car somewhere? How much do the drivers earn? tell me your experience

Answers:
Most of them DO NOT pay the driver, you get to use the vehicle for transportation. I have done it sevral times. You pay fuel, but large vehicles like trucks and such sometimes come with a gas allowance. The owner will pay for oil/repairs. You return the vehicle with full tank and CLEAN. Many companies now require a deposit before letting you take the vehicle.

It is flexible, up to the owner, if you wish additional days or miles, you have to ask.

TIP - Make sure the vehcile has been recently tuned up, the gas will kill ya if it's running poorly.

If you need/want a truck, DON'T ask for one, you won't get one, they know you are going to haul stuff. Motorhomes are also drive aways, usually with good gas allowance.
