They are the modern hot rods and (although I am far from being in to it) they need to be respected. Car culture is part of American history. Weather it's a Charger or a Civiv, it's a hot rod. Dig it!

yeah, who cares. A guy at work has "RICE BURNER" across his windshield. Pretty funny. I laugh at the Rice Burners when the drive down the street with their aircraft wings on their trunks and their "rippy" paint jobs.

Tell me about it. I have two Jap bikes, and now a German car. I don't get any crap about the car, but I'm sooooooo tired of the Hardley riders' jingoistic attitudes. My husband works with a lot of blue-collar types, so we get some ribbing from them. Nothing offensive, but shutup already! It's on the road where we experience the most problems. I'm not talking about the waving thing; I've had a couple of Hardley drivers disrespect my space, and you just know it's because you've got a faster bike.
Now my blood is boiling again just thinking about! But I'll try to remain calm.
I think the little rice-rockets are funny to watch. Those huge exhaust pipe ends, the throaty putta, putta, putta as they leave a stop light and the nasal little horn. It all makes for a great clown car. Oh, and you're quite incorrect about what the hot-rodders did in the '60s. Today the tuners go down to the supply shop, buy some nifty piece of stuff for the car and bolt it on. Back in the day, as they say, the guys fabricated the stuff they put on a car. Usually it all started with a trip to the salvage yard not the local Pep Boys. Do enjoy your little four-banger. Those of us with the V8's need the amusement on the road what with all the things that go on out there to create road rage. You guys are doing a service.
